PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT AND KARIOS TECHNOLOGIES USA SIGN MOU ON INNOVATION IN DATA CENTRE DEVELOPMENT

In what could be described as a landmark initiative, His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor, Plateau State and Mr. Shree, President and Founder of Karios Technologies have signed an MoU towards pioneering innovation in Data Centre development. 

This strategic engagement with Karios, a global technology partner, will explore opportunities for leveraging cutting-edge infrastructure and computing solutions to accelerate development across our State.

While signing the MoU, Governor Mutfwang highlighted the role of technology in strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, and creating an enabling environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The agreement formalizes a commitment by Plateau State and Kairos to deploying technology responsibly and effectively to drive inclusive growth, improve public services, and empower youths with new opportunities in the digital economy.

The Kairos model builds modern, energy-efficient, and scalable digital solutions that can support key sectors of the economy, enhance data-driven decision-making, and deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
Upon signing the agreement, the Karios team presented their infrastructure and edge computing technologies, demonstrating how these solutions can strengthen public service delivery, support innovation ecosystems and accelerate the modernization of digital infrastructure across Plateau State.

We recognize that sustainable development requires not only policies and programs, but also strategic partnerships that bring global expertise and solutions to local challenges, he added. 

Governor Caleb commended the leadership and technical teams at Karios for their collaborative spirit and innovative vision, while pledging Plateau State's sustained effort towards strategic partnerships that translate technology into meaningful progress which will enhance resilience across our public services, and position the State as a competitive, forward-looking, and technology-enabled economy.

This engagement is part of our broader commitment to positioning Plateau State as a leader in digital transformation and innovation in Nigeria.
