MANAGEMENT SCIENCE STUDENTS OF NOUN VISITS GJSS/GSSS RIKKOS
Students from the department of management science of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), visited Government Junior Secondary/Government Senior Secondary School Rikkos in a bid to impact positively on students by giving back to the society.
Stephanie Chatalas spoke passionately to the students of GSS Rikkos, SS2 class specifically.
She spoke on financial literacy, budgeting and planning.
The visit was part of their project on community development. They held a class session with the SS2 students teaching them the importance of entrepreneurship, time management, financial decisions, marketing of quality brand and business ideas.
Other management students of the National Open University of Nigeria, had an interactive session with a few teachers in the school; Mrs Gloria Medeyese, Mrs Vivian Fanan, Mr Rotkang Gotom and the two teachers on duty - Mrs Bridget N. Elukpo and miss Akwino Ruth Toma.
At the end of the visit, the management students donated to the school; Two big whiteboards, a packet of pen, two packets of whiteboard marker, two dusters and two dozens of sixty leaves exercise books.
Maryann Mark and Mrs Rahila Dafiak - Principal GJSS and GSSS respectively appreciate the kind gesture, effort and foresight of the NOUN students in choosing GJSS/GSSS Kyan-Rikkos for their community development project. The provision of teaching aids and instructional materials is a plus to the educational development of the students in line with governor Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang's agenda on education.
