GBONG GWOM JOS, DA JACOB GYANG BUBA AT 73! AS FAMILY, FRIENDS, SONS & DAUGHTERS DINE WITH THE MONARCH

A brief surprise birthday dinner was put up earlier today in honour of the President Jos Joint Traditional Council, Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, His Majesty Da Dr. Jacob Gyang Buba CFR, the Gbong Gwom Jos.

The brief but colourful event took place at the Gbong Gwom Jos Palace in Jishe, Jos and was well attended by family members, traditional rulers, Christian and Muslim leaders as well as title holders, captains of industries and friends who all made the environment quizzical with their  youthful memories.

Chairman, Berom Ministers Forum Da Rev. John Nash opened the gathering with prayers while an old time friend of His Majesty from University days, Da Arch. Pam Dung Gyang on behalf of sons and daughters eulogized the  celebrant's sterling qualities as a friend and as a monarch.

Da (Dr.) Dachollom Jambol, Chairman Berom Elders Council, spoke on behalf of Registered Berom Organisations (RBO's), prayed God to bless His Majesty and grant him good health.

The Matawalin Jos, chief Felix Ezeanoche on behalf of title holders salute the Gbong Gwom Jos at 73 and his wife later prayed God to grant the monarch wisdom as a father and enlarge his coast.

The Emir of Wase Alhaji Dr. Mohammadu Sambo Haruna, Sarkin Dutse showered praises on the Gbong Gwom Jos as a leader with unmatched qualities whom he has learned a lot under him in the traditional council. 

The Emir applauded  the wealth of experience of the Gbong Gwom Jos which he said is more than the experience he garnered while lecturing for more than ten years in the University.

Special Guest of Honour at the low key birthday celebration and the Secretary to the Plateau State Government  Architect Samuel Jatau described the Gbong Gwom Jos as an embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, insight, and understanding. Always contributing positively to every subject matter when call upon. He further stated that the GbongGwom Jos is someone that is well respected across the country and anywhere he finds himself.

In his response, Da Jacob Gyang Buba CFR, humourously recalling the good old days with friends whom they shared sweet memories during school days especially as basketball players.

He appreciated his wife and family members for honouring him while thanking friends, sons and daughters for coming.

Ngo Rakiya Buba in her usual smiles all through the occasion was visibly happy, while Ngo Sarah Reng Ochekpe led the session of the birthday cake cutting to the amusement of dignitaries present.
