PEPSA JOINED THE PLATEAU STATE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, CLIMATE CHANGE AND MINERAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE OFFICIAL HANDOVER CEREMONY BETWEEN THE OUTGOING COMMISSIONER HON. PETER KANANG GWOM AND HIS SUCCESSOR HON. JOSHUA LAVEN UBANDOMA

The Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) joined the management and staff of the Plateau State Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Mineral Development for the official handover ceremony between the outgoing Commissioner, Hon. Peter Kanang Gwom, and his successor, Hon. Joshua Laven Ubandoma, held at the Ministry.

In his remarks, the outgoing Commissioner reflected on his time in office and highlighted some of the achievements recorded during his tenure. These included interventions in waste management and erosion control, activities under the ACReSAL Programme, and the launch of the Waste Management Framework, among others.

He expressed appreciation to PEPSA and other programmes and agencies under the Ministry for their cooperation and collaboration throughout his tenure. He also thanked the management and staff of the Ministry for their commitment and support, assuring them of his continued support for the Ministry and its programmes even after leaving office.

The incoming Commissioner, Hon. Joshua Laven Ubandoma, commended his predecessor for his contributions and the foundation laid during his tenure. He pledged to build on the progress already recorded and further advance the work of the Ministry.

The Director General of PEPSA, Mr. Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya, also thanked the outgoing Commissioner for his leadership, support and collaboration with the Agency throughout his tenure. He acknowledged the contributions of the former Commissioner to environmental management in Plateau State and wished him success in his future endeavours.
The ceremony concluded with the formal handover of responsibilities, marking the official transition of leadership at the Plateau State Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Mineral Development.
