HON. PETER NYAM GAI VISITS SMARTEL AGRI-TECH, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO AGRICULTURAL MODERNISATION
The Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Peter Nyam Gai, Esq., has visited SMARTEL Agri-Tech Company as part of efforts to explore partnerships aimed at modernising the agricultural sector and promoting sustainable economic growth and food security in Plateau State.
The visit followed a request by SMARTEL Agri-Tech Company to partner with the Ministry and the Plateau State Government in advancing modern agricultural practices, technology-driven farming and sustainable solutions that can contribute to the development of the state’s agricultural economy.
During the visit, the Commissioner inspected the company’s facilities and various agricultural initiatives, taking time to assess the systems, innovations and structures already put in place by the organisation.
Hon. Nyam Gai commended the efforts of SMARTEL Agri-Tech and expressed the Ministry’s readiness to work with credible organisations whose expertise and innovations can contribute meaningfully to agricultural development in Plateau State.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with relevant agencies, private-sector organisations and other stakeholders, noting that such collaborations are essential to unlocking the potential of the agricultural sector, improving food production and creating sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Plateau State.
The Commissioner further emphasised that the Ministry under his leadership will continue to support initiatives that promote innovation, modern technology and effective agricultural practices for the overall development of Plateau State.
