NATIONAL COUNCIL OF BEROM DISTRICTS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (BDDA) PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE GYEL–JOS SOUTH TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

The National Council of the Berom Districts Development Association (BDDA), comprising leaders of the various Community Development Associations across Berom land, today paid a condolence visit to the Palace of the Gwom Rwei Gyel–Jos South following the passing of the revered traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Da Dr. Nga Dangyang, JP, the Gwom Rwei Jos South.

The Secretary of the Berom Districts Development Association (BDDA), Barr. Chapo Daniel Kim, introduced members of the delegation, after which the BDDA National Chairman, Da Silas Pwajok Bot, delivered the association's condolence message.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Da Silas Pwajok Bot, BDDA chairman described the passing of the late monarch as the fall of a mighty iroko tree in Berom land, noting that although his demise has created an irreplaceable vacuum, the family, the Berom nation, and indeed Plateau State have every reason to thank Almighty God for the fulfilled and impactful life He granted the departed royal father.

The Chairman paid glowing tribute to the late monarch, highlighting his exemplary leadership, wisdom, humility, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the peace, and development of Berom land. He remarked that the enduring legacies of the late royal father would continue to inspire generations, adding that his fatherly counsel, selfless service, and statesmanship would be sorely missed, not only by the Berom nation but by the entire people of Plateau State.

Responding on behalf of the bereaved family and the Gyel–Jos South Traditional Council, Da Gwom Nyango, His Royal Highness Da Yohanna Pam, expressed profound appreciation to the National Council of the Berom Districts Development Association for the thoughtful visit and heartfelt words of consolation. He fondly recalled the late Gwom Rwei Jos South's warm, receptive, and accommodating nature, noting that the late monarch had held several fruitful discussions with the BDDA Chairman on matters relating to the growth and development of Berom land.

DaGwom Nyango, HRH Da Yohanna Pam, assured the delegation that the family and the Traditional Council would remain committed to preserving and advancing the noble legacies of the departed royal father.
Also present at the palace was Da Gwom Turu, His Royal Highness Da Ezekiel James, and other council members.

The burial of the late Gwom Rwei Jos South, His Royal Highness Da Dr. Nga Dangyang, JP, is scheduled to hold on Friday, 31st July, 2026.

May the Almighty God grant the departed royal father eternal rest and grant his family, the Gyel–Jos South Traditional Council, and the entire Berom nation the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
