SUPER FALCONS CAPTAIN VISITS JOS TO ADVANCE WOMEN'S FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT
Super Falcons captain and Paris Saint-Germain star, Rasheedat Ajibade, paid a courtesy visit to the Plateau State Government House in Jos as part of ongoing efforts to promote and strengthen women's football development at the grassroots level.
Speaking during the visit, Ajibade said:
"It was a great honour to meet with His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, at the Government House in Jos as part of the Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation's visit to the beautiful city of Jos."
Central to the discussions was the advancement of women's football at the grassroots, with a particular focus on coaching development, player education, and the creation of sustainable pathways for young talents to thrive in the sport.
Ajibade emphasized that talent development remains a core pillar of the Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation's mission, noting that nurturing sporting talents is essential to building stronger and more vibrant communities. She stressed the importance of providing young athletes with the support, resources, and opportunities needed to reach their full potential.
The Foundation maintains that sport is a powerful tool for social transformation and community development. By investing in coaches, safeguarding young players, and creating opportunities for girls and boys to participate and excel in football, communities are empowered and the future of African football is strengthened.
Ajibade expressed her appreciation to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for the warm reception and for providing a platform to engage in meaningful discussions on sports development at the highest level in Plateau State.
