HON. BARR. JOHN KYOHROH CHRISTOPHER HONOURED WITH PRESTIGIOUS LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Hon. Barrister John Kyohroh Christopher (J.K. Chris), has been honoured with the prestigious Integrity Icon of Nigeria Award for Leadership, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to transparency, and dedication to good governance.

The award, presented by the Center for Ethics and Self-Evaluation, underscores the remarkable strides recorded under the leadership of Hon. J.K. Chris and further positions Jos North Local Government Council as a model of accountable and people-oriented governance in Nigeria.

The presentation ceremony took place at the Council Secretariat Boardroom, where the Executive Director of the Center for Ethics and Self-Evaluation, Prince Sale Yakubu, formally conferred the award on the council chairman in the presence of management staff, council officials, community leaders, stakeholders, and other distinguished guests.

Speaking during the ceremony, Prince Yakubu stated that the award is exclusively reserved for public office holders who have demonstrated exceptional integrity, accountability, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public service. He noted that Hon. J.K. Chris has consistently exemplified the core values of ethical leadership and responsible governance as envisioned by Nigeria's founding fathers.

According to him, the selection committee was particularly impressed by the chairman's administrative discipline, transparency in governance, accessibility to the people, and responsiveness to the yearnings and aspirations of constituents. He further commended the chairman and his administration for fostering a culture of responsibility, institutional accountability, and effective service delivery within the local government system.

Prince Yakubu emphasized that Hon. J.K. Chris has distinguished himself as a transformational leader whose policies and programmes continue to positively impact the lives of the people of Jos North. He added that the chairman's dedication to excellence and his people-centred approach to governance have earned him widespread respect and admiration across various sectors.

Barrister J.K. Chris expressed profound gratitude to the Center for Ethics and Self-Evaluation for finding him worthy of such a prestigious recognition. He described the award as a motivation to redouble his efforts in delivering quality leadership and sustainable development to the people of Jos North.
The chairman also appreciated members of his administration, management staff, political associates, and the entire people of Jos North for their unwavering support and cooperation. He dedicated the award to the people of Jos north, stressing that every achievement recorded by his administration is a collective accomplishment.

"Public office is a sacred trust bestowed upon leaders by the people. This recognition reinforces our resolve to continue serving with integrity, accountability, humility, and an unyielding commitment to the common good," he stated.

The conferment of the Integrity Icon of Nigeria Award further affirms Hon. J.K. Chris's growing reputation as a visionary grassroots leader and a champion of ethical governance, whose administration continues to set commendable standards in public service and local government administration.
