PLATEAU MOVES TO TACKLE WATER SCARCITY IN RURAL COMMUNITIES

The Plateau State Government has initiated high-level stakeholder engagement to address persistent water scarcity in Langtang South Local Government Area and other parts of the state. The meeting, convened at the instance of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, brought together key players in the water sector to brainstorm immediate and sustainable solutions to the crisis. Chief of Staff to  Governor Caleb Mutfwang ,Jeremiah Satmak, who chaired the session on behalf of the governor, said the engagement was aimed at identifying appropriate interventions and developing strategies to improve access to potable water in the affected areas. NEMA PRESENTS RELIEF MATERIALS TO SURVIVORS OF ANGWAN RUKUBA TRAGIC ATTACK IN PLATEAU STATE

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented relief materials to the Plateau State Government for onward distribution to victims and survivors of the Angwan Rukuba tragic attack. The intervention is aimed at providing immediate relief and support to affected persons, enabling them to gradually rebuild their lives and resume normal daily activities. The Director-General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, who was represented by the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Adebiyi B. Razaq, made the presentation at the Old Government House, Rayfield, Jos.  Mrs. Umar explained that the relief materials were approved as part of federal assistance to communities affected by the violent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
