ALEX DAVOU GYANG PARTNER WITH MATCHES UNITY & PEACE TOURNAMENT TO PROMOTE UNITY IN JOS NORTH LGA

Hon. Alexander Davou Gyang,  a man of the people, an aspirant for the chairmanship position of Jos North LGA, Plateau State, partner with Matches Unity and Peace Football Tournament to promote Unity, Peace, and development in the locality through sports.

Speaking before the official Kickoff of the fourteenth edition of the tournament,  the chief organiser, Mr. Matches, express delight with the support gotten from Hon. Alex Davou Gyang in the 2026 edition, he narrated how he initiated the birth of the tournament last 14 years, and how far the tournament has become by bringing together youths from Tudun Wada and environs irrespective of tribe and religion to display their football skills instead of engaging in drugs addiction or social vices.

Hon. Alex Davou Gyang known for his humanitarian gesture of building the youths to achieve their potentials, supported the tournament financially to help in logistics,  and a better tournament as compared to the previous editions.
Recalled, the chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Alex Gyang has extended same gesture through his media team to Gangare youths in Jos north, during the Ramadan Football Tournament of which he promised to support more of grassroots football tournament inorder to help keep the youths more productive rather than engaging in youth restivenes.

The 2026 Matches Unity and Peace Football Tournament promises to be entertaining, more competitive and above all bringing the youths together to attain their God-given potentials.

Todays opening match started on a high spirit with both sides showing a good account of themselves, and at the end of regulation time, it was

Other matches will continue tomorrow with more exciting matches to watch. And keep the youths busy at the Mado Tourist football field, Tudun Wada Jos North.
