SUPPORTERS FROM JOS EAST AND JOS SOUTH PRESENT NOMINATION FORM TO HON. DACHUNG MUSA BAGOS

It was a remarkable gathering of party faithfuls, women, youths, and elders from Jos East and Jos South Local Government Areas of Plateau State at the residence of Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos.

The occasion marked the presentation of a nomination form to him to contest for the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Jos East/Jos South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Following consultations and the advice of respected leaders and elders, Hon. Dachung Bagos has officially discontinued his senatorial ambition in the interest of unity and collective progress. This development marks a significant milestone in his political journey, signaling his formal entry into the House of Representatives race ahead of the APC primaries scheduled for May 15, 2026.

Presenting the nomination form on behalf of supporters and well-wishers, the Special Adviser to the Plateau State Governor on Artisan Mining, Hon. Emmanuel Dung Gibok, described the move as both bold and decisive. He expressed strong confidence in Hon. Bagos’ wealth of experience, capacity, and proven ability to effectively represent the constituency once again at the Green Chamber.

In his response, Hon. Dachung Bagos reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful leadership and building on the solid foundation he laid during his previous tenure. He pledged to continue delivering quality representation for the good people of Jos East and Jos South.

He further emphasized that his aspiration aligns with the broader political objective of supporting Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their respective bids to return as Governor and President. He urged his supporters to remain united and work diligently to secure victory at the polls.

Addressing his supporters, Hon. Bagos passionately cautioned against engaging in insults or negative campaigning. He stressed that the guiding principle of His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, is “Peace and Unity,” and urged everyone to adopt a respectful and issue-based campaign approach.
“In your political strategy, do not plan for your opponent to fail; rather, plan to succeed,” he advised.
Speaking on behalf of various groups:
Comrade Bana Ishaya Dung represented the youths, expressing confidence in Hon. Bagos’ ability to deliver the dividends of democracy.

Mrs. Hannatu Yohanna spoke for the women, reiterating their overwhelming support.

Da Istifanus Dung Dido addressed the gathering on behalf of the elders.

Hon. Monday Mancha also threw his weight behind Hon. Bagos, highlighting his track record and suitability for the position.

A former member of the Plateau State House of Assembly from Jos East LGA endorsed Bagos based on his experience.

Hon. Simon Dung Zi urged the public to support Bagos, citing his wealth of experience.

Councillors from Jos East and Jos South were represented by Hon. Izang Ishaku of Jos East LGA.

The support base of Hon. Dachung Bagos continues to cut across tribal and religious lines throughout Plateau North. His strong connection with the people of Jos East and Jos South—whom he represented effectively in the previous Assembly—remains evident. It is no surprise that his enduring mantra remains: “In God We Trust.”
