GOVERNOR MUTFWANG FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH ON EID-EL-FITR, CALLS FOR PEACE AND UNITY IN NIGERIA

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined millions of well-wishers across the world in congratulating the Muslim Ummah in Plateau State, Nigeria, and beyond on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Governor Mutfwang commended Muslims for their devotion, discipline, and sacrifices throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He urged them to sustain the values of love, peace, charity, tolerance, and unity, which define the essence of the fasting period, as they mark the Eid celebration.

The Governor acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the Muslim community to peaceful coexistence in Plateau State and Nigeria at large, describing Eid-el-Fitr as a significant milestone that reinforces faith, sacrifice, and submission to the will of Almighty God.

“I heartily rejoice with the Muslim Ummah on this special occasion, which reminds us of the virtues of sacrifice and total submission to the will of God Almighty. As you celebrate, I encourage everyone to reflect on the values of love, charity, and selflessness, and to work collectively towards building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Plateau State,” he stated.

Governor Mutfwang also called on Muslims to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s leaders, seeking divine guidance and wisdom as they strive to deliver responsive and people-oriented governance.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusivity and good governance, the Governor assured citizens of continued efforts to protect lives and property, improve welfare, and promote sustainable development across all communities in the state.

He further advised the Hajj pilgrims sponsored by the Plateau State Government to be worthy ambassadors and to offer prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of the state and the nation.

The Governor urged all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to unite in the pursuit of lasting peace, respect for the rule of law, and support for government policies aimed at creating a conducive environment for economic growth and social development.

Governor Mutfwang reiterated his administration’s resolve to introduce policies that address prevailing challenges, particularly those affecting the most vulnerable, while ensuring security and opportunities for all.
