THE 2025 PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR'S CUP CONTINUES WITH EXCITING MATCHES AT ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE JOS
The 2025 Plateau State Governor’s Cup continued on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, with another exciting day of football at St. John’s College, Jos. Fans enjoyed goals, tension, and entertaining action from start to finish.
Match 1: Qua’anpan 2 – 2 Jos South
The first match between Qua’anpan and Jos South started with quick excitement. Chris Lekat of Qua’anpan, wearing jersey No.9, scored a fantastic goal in the first minute, giving his team an early lead.
Jos South quickly settled and pushed back. Their effort paid off in the 10th minute when Lukas Samson scored a calm equalizer.
In the 22nd minute, Jos South took the lead for the first time through Sanda Chinla, who finished a good chance with confidence.
But Qua’anpan refused to give up. In the 28th minute, Thomas Dayil scored to make it 2–2, ending the match in a fair and entertaining draw. It was a match full of speed, effort, and excitement.
Match 2: Barkin Ladi 1 – 1 Kanam
The second match of the day featured Barkin Ladi vs Kanam. The first half ended without any goals, but both teams came out stronger in the second half.
Barkin Ladi took the lead in the 50th minute when Ahmed Ibrahim scored after a mistake in Kanam’s defense.
Kanam kept fighting and were rewarded late in the match. In the 79th minute, Pankyuk Bulus scored the equalizer in a penalty kick, making it 1–1 and ensuring both teams shared the point.
Both matches showed strong teamwork and determination from all four teams. The Governor’s Cup continues to bring exciting football moments, and fans are eager for the next round of games.
