PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR'S CUP GATHERS MOMENTUM IN MATCH DAY 4
Football is an emotional game, though a uniting force. This was displayed at all the three centers hosting the 2025 Plateau State Governor's Cup Tagged "The Time is Now Soccer Fiesta", in match day 4.
At the St. Murumba college field, Jos East LGC played 0-0 with Langtang North LGC. While the second encounter saw the defending champions Jos north LGC beating Wase LGC by a lone goal, courtesy Enoch Boyi at the 19th minutes of play.
The St. Augustine Seminary katako, Jos hosted more matches, with Pankshin LGC redeeming their image on the pitch by beating Shendam LGC 1-0. While Bassa LGC and Kanke LGC got a point each in a match that ended draw with one goal apiece.
It was a southern zone derby that ended 0-0 between Langtang South LGC and Mikang LGC.
While in a central zone brotherly affair, Mangu LGC humbled Bokkos LGC 1-0.
In another northern zone derby at the St. John's College field in Jos, Barkin Ladi LGC succumbed to the fire power of Jos South LGC 0-1, through the boots of Shedrack with jersey number 3.
Quan-Pan LGC restored their dignity by playing a 0-0 draw with a high flying Riyom LGC.
The Chairman, Plateau State Football Association (PFA), Hon. Dr. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, applauds the passion and the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by teams and spectators, while emphasising on unity through football across the state.
