FOUR LGC'S MADE IT TO THE SEMI FINALS IN THE ONGOING PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR'S CUP

The 2025 Plateau State Governor's Cup Tagged, The Time is Now Soccer Fiesta, today took many soccer enthusiasts by surprise, as the defending champions, Jos north LGC could not make it to the semi finals. The Barr. J.K Chris boys were held 0-0 during the normal course of play by hard fighting Langtang South LGC, taking the game to penalty shootouts in which Langtang South won by 7-6.

Bassa LGC also played 0-0 with Wase LGC during the normal course of play, and lost to Wase 2-4 in the penalty shootouts.

Bokkos LGC beat Riyom LGC 2-1, while Kanam LGC lost to Mangu 3-4 in the penalty shootouts after playing 0-0, 90 minutes regulation time.

The PFA chairman, Hon. Dr. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, appreciates football lovers across Plateau State for supporting their various teams peacefully in the tournament, while wishing all the teams the best of luck.

The semi finals pairings have;
Langtang South vs Bokkos,
Wase vs Mangu.
All matches will be played Thursday 27th November, 2025 at the New Jos Zaria road stadium, from 12 noon.
The PFA chairman is calling on all football fans and stakeholders across the state, to make time to go and watch the best of grassroots soccer.
