BOKKOS LGC AND MANGU LGC TO PLAY IN THE 2025 PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR'S CUP FINALS-Tagged: "The Time is Now Soccer Fiesta"

The two semi final matches played today at the new Jos stadium lived up to expectation with the four teams giving a good account of themselves by playing good football to justify their semi-finals ticket.

In the first semi finals match, between Langtang South LGC vs Bokkos LGC, Tahiru Alhajiji with jersey number 13, put Bokkos ahead with a solo goal at the 19th minutes of play. Players of Langtang South gave in their best missing so many chances to equalise before the end of the first half. On resumption at the second half, Bokkos LGC took the play to the half of Langtang South, balancing the pressure and defending their one goal as well. Until the tensed encounter finished 0-1 in favour of Bokkos LGC.

The second semi-final match between Mangu LGC vs Wase LGC, recorded an early minute goal at the 8 minute of play, through the boots of Christian John with jersey number 12 to put smiles on the faces of Mangu LGC fans.
Despite the pressure from Wase LGC Characterized by many missed scoring chances, the defence of Mangu LGC remained solid like Wase rock, making it difficult for Wase LGC to break and penetrate. The match ended 1-0 in favor of the 2023 Governor's Cup Champions. Making the 2025 finals a tough one like Real Madrid vs Barcelona.

The 2025 Plateau State Governor's Cup finals will be Bokkos LGC vs Mangu LGC.
No doubt, "when two elephants meet, the grass will suffer". These two giants have proven to be the elephants of the central zone in this year's governor's cup.
It is going to be an all central zone affair between two next door brothers from the same senatorial zone.
The PFA chairman, Hon. Dr. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande was all round to ensure a smooth semi-finals encounter, while being optimistic for a better and improved 2025 governor's cup finals, to be the best as compared to the previous editions.

Dignitries at the Zaria road stadium today were the Plateau State commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Musa Ashoms, Chairman of Bokkos, Bassa, and Mangu LGC respectively, Deputy chairman of Jos East, Mangu and Bokkos LGC respectively, Executive Secretary Muslim welfare board, football stakeholders on the Plateau and other government appointees.

Bokkos LGA will host the finals of this year's governor's cup. It will be recalled that it was already decided during the draws and before the fixtures of the tournament.
The date for the 2025 Plateau State Governor's Cup will be announced later by the Plateau State Football Association (PFA), once it is fixed.
