GOVERNOR MUTFWANG ATTENDS IRIGWE CULTURAL FESTIVAL, ASSURES THE PEOPLE OF IMPACTFUL PROJECT
…CONGRATULATES DR. BENARD DORO ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS MINISTER
It was a joyful and colorful occasion for the entire Irigwe Nation as the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, graced the 2025 Otu Rigwe Cultural Festival with a renewed pledge to deliver transformative and impactful projects in Irigwe land and Bassa Local Government Area in general.
The festival, held under the theme “Towards the Rehabilitation of IDPs in Irigwe Land,” provided an opportunity for Governor Mutfwang to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to working closely with local communities to resettle displaced persons and restore lasting peace and tranquility to Irigwe land and Plateau State as a whole.
Governor Mutfwang lauded the resilience, compassion, and patriotism of the Irigwe Nation, describing them as a people whose faith in God and love for Plateau State remain unshaken despite challenges. He urged them to remain steadfast in defending their ancestral land, assuring them that “God Almighty loves you, and Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang loves you.”
The Governor extended his warm congratulations to Dr. Benard M. Doro on his well-deserved appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He also commended all illustrious sons and daughters of the Irigwe Nation, both at home and in the diaspora, for their contributions to the growth and development of Plateau State and the nation at large.
Governor Mutfwang disclosed that his administration is making deliberate efforts to complete the ongoing road project from Wildlife Park to Kwal and down to Vom. He added that a contract has also been awarded for the construction of a road in Jingre, with the contractor expected to mobilize to site soon.
The Governor sympathized with the Irigwe people over past attacks that claimed lives and destroyed property, assuring them that the Irigwe Nation will never be defeated. He expressed optimism that Irigwe land will soon realize its full God-given potential, declaring that “the days ahead are bright and filled with the promises of God.”
In his welcome remarks, the Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, Dr. Joshua Riti, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Mutfwang for honoring the cultural event and commended his courage, compassion, and commitment to the unity and development of Plateau State.
