PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN JOS NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT PARLEY WITH PARTY STAKEHOLDERS
The chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Christopher Kyohroh John, had an interactive session with the expanded house of People's Democratic Party (PDP) critical stakeholders in the local government, with party faithfuls present.
The People's Democratic Party chairman in Jos north local government, Hon. Elijah I. Azi, in his welcome remark, appreciates all the PDP stakeholders in the locality for their support and presence despite the impromptu notice which was necessary, in order to consolidate on the achievement of the party at the local government, and state levels respectively.
The Jos north LGC chairman, Hon. Barr. Christopher Kyohroh John, encouraged party faithfuls and all the peace loving people of Jos north to remain steadfast with the PDP, and continue to show support to the governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
Hon. Barr. Christopher Kyohroh John, briefly highlighted some positive developments of his stewardship under the quarterly period in review;
Procurement of six thousand bags of fertilizer, with an additional three thousand bags distributed to farmers at subsidized rates, continuous community relations and engagements, the purchase of a bus for the legislative arm and also prioritizing their welfare including all appointees of the local government, reaching out to communities having challenges with access roads and transformers, collaboration with security agencies to ensure Jos north is safe, secured and peaceful, collaboration with SDG'S to rehabilite the skill aquisitin centre in the local government, the construction of the Rishari Ruturah market which is ongoing at Angwan Rukuba, and the police station at Dong area which is at it's completion level.
Deputy chairman of Jos North LGC, Hon. Kabiru Mohammed Garkuwa, reiterated a firm support to Governor Caleb Mutfwang as far as Jos north is concerned. As the chairman of the central planning committee of a solidarity support program for Governor Mutfwang, Hon. Garkuwa took time to inform the stakeholders on progress report so far, with Onet pavilion opposite St Murumba collage, as venue of the event on Saturday 23rd August, 2025.
Goodwill messages came from Hon. Engr. Joe Danladi, Hon. Lawandi Datti, commissioner for water resources, Hon. Barr. Peter Nyam Gai, commissioner for lands, survey and town planning, Hon. Pozoh Gini Umaru, and Ngwo Christy Nyam.
Other elders and stakeholders present at the parley; Hajiya Jamila Shehu Gwandu, house leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Ayuba, Jos north LGC secretary, Hon. Pharmacist Samuel Ishaya Gyang, Hon. James Yakubu, Hon. Hwelleng Nyam, Hon. Samuel Umaru, Hon. Jamila Pam, Hon. Sunday Gini, Hon. Pam Saleh, Hon. David Jang Zoyong, Alh. Mairake, Hon. Felix, Hon. Yakubu Choji, Alh. Aminu Abdullahi, Hon. Danjuma Azi, Hon. Nura Shehu, twenty ward chairmen, advisers, elected and supervisory councilors, and all media aids to the executive governor of Plateau State from Jos North LGC.
