GOVERNOR CALEB DRIVES CONVERSATIONS ON UPSCALING INNOVATION AND THE MSME SECTOR AS ENGAGES SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO THE PRESIDENT

In a bid to deepen collaboration with the Federal Government, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor, Plateau State engages Ms. Chalya Shagaya, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development.

Governor Mutfwang shared innovations being introduced to upscale skills and operations of especially the MSME Sector  through the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA) which has not only provided trainings for entrepreneurs, but has also established a job centre that will create opportunities for young people that have being impacted with requisite skills.
Furthermore, he shared on ongoing efforts at establishing an agro innovation hub in partnership with the UNDP, geared towards harnessing youths talent in the tech and innovation ecosystem. Additionally, efforts to establish a business process outsourcing centre are being undertaken. The Government has also signed an MoU with Chocolate City Group towards the development of a youth talent discovery and development hub, he concluded. 

Ms. Shagaya noted her office's commitment to leverage key partnerships in boosting Mr. President's renewed hope agenda, especially targeting the knowledgeable and talented youth population that constitutes more than 60% of Nigeria's population

The Chairman of Plateau Football Association (PFA), Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande yesterday led a group of Plateau State foreign based players to pay homage to His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
