REPORT FROM THE "HEY GIRL INITIATIVE" PROGRAM WITH STUDENTS OF GJSS/GSSS RIKKOS IN ATTENDANCE
The Hey girl initiative is a non-governmental organisation founded by Ruth Ajayi, the vision and purpose of the organisation is to train young girls to know Christ, to be financially independent and lots more. 25 selected students from GSS kyan Rikkos and other schools attended the programme.
On the first day, the students were taught by three special guests how to identify with Christ as a girl, choosing your carrier early with the right subject combination, living with purpose, etc.
On day two, the students were grouped and were taught how to bake cakes and also how to make liquid soap. Three students were given a scholarship to be trained for six months in catering and fashion design. Marvelous Alfred and Blessing Azong were chosen for Catering and Sylvia Sule for Fashion Design.
They had a good refreshment, a pack of sanitary path, cake and dish washer as a souvenir each.
The program ended on Saturday by 5pm to the Glory of God.
