HON.DR. KWANDE KICK STARTS THE 2025 GHETTO FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AT ANGWAN RUKUBA, JOS NORTH LGC

The Plateau Football Association chairman, Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande was live  on Sunday at the U.N.A football field, Nasarawa Gwong Jos, for the official opening of the 2025 Dalo/Cholly Ghetto Inter-Fans football competition at Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North LGC.

The annual ghetto football fiesta is jointly organized by two brothers, Mr. Dalo Pwajok and Chollom Pwajok aka Cholly-Cho, tagged "Dalo/Cholly Inter-Fans football competition", is a way of giving back to the community and appreciating football fans supporting different European clubs, who normally patronize the Dalo/Cholly viewing centre at Angwan Rukuba new road, opposite new life bakery in Jos north LGC, Plateau State.

This very 9th edition of the ghetto football tournament got the sponsorship of sports enthusiasts's, Mr. Alex Gyang Davou, a community builder and a lover of youths engagement.

The PFA Chairman, Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, in his usual way of football partnership, development and passion to build the youths and identify with progress across Plateau State took time personally out of his tight schedules to perform the ceremonial kickoff. He further appreciated Mr. Alex Gyang Davou for identifying with football by sponsoring the 2025 Dalo/Cholly ghetto inter-fans football tournament.

Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande was pleased with the abundant raw talent at Angwan Rukuba as he watched the highly competitive ghetto football tournament. He encouraged the organisers to keep up the good work, focusing on developing local talent at the grassroot, and promoting community engagement through sports.

Head of logistics, Jimmy Pam Jerry PJ² is optimistic, in his words -  "the tournament is growing and yielding positive results churning out a good number of footballers playing abroad, providing a source of livelihood to homes in line with part of the present government's agenda of youth Empowerment".
Mr. Ayuba Roba, head of protocol expressed satisfaction with the turnout being the second day of the competition.

Chief organizer, Mr. Chollom Jacob Pwajok and Coordinator General, Mr. Dalo Pwajok both  appreciated the leadership of the PFA, Hon. Dr. Kwande for personally coming to angwan rukuba to watch good football, this is a great moral booster and a big encouragement to Angwa youths in general.

The Dalo/Cholly Inter-Fans ghetto football competition is played every Saturday and Sunday, 3pm & 5pm at the U.N.A football field, Nasarawa Gwong Jos north.

Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande yesterday led a group of Plateau State foreign based players to pay homage to His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
