ALEX GYANG DAVOU, SULEIMAN KWANDE, JK CHRIS SPICED UP 2025 GHETTO FOOTBALL FINALS AT ANGWAN RUKUBA, JOS NORTH LGC

The ninth (9th) edition of the 2025 Ghetto inter-fans five-aside football tournament at angwan rukuba area of Jos North LGC, came to a close on Sunday 29th July, in the presence of a large football enthusiasts who gathered at the GSS Nasarawa Gwong football field to watch the best of grassroots soccer.

The Ghetto inter-fans football tournament started in the year 2016 through the visionary initiative of two brothers; Mr Dalo Pwajok and Mr Chollom Jacob Pwajok, tagging it "Dalo & Cholly Ghetto inter-fans five-aside football tournament".

The tournament is a community based grassroots soccer tournament aimed at giving back to the community through sports, and giving raw talents an opportunity to showcase themselves, display their football skills, entertain, and unite the Nasarawa Gwong/Angwan Rukuba community through football.

The 2025 edition got the sponsorship of Mr Alex Gyang Davou and friends who supported the tournament with cash prizes for the best player, best, goalkeeper, highest goal scorer of the tournament respectively, and sets of Jersey's for the two finalists. Mr Alex Gyang Davou is a grassroots builder of the youths who believes in human capital development. In his goodwill message, he appreciated the entire  community of Nasarawa Gwong for coming out in their numbers to motivate the youths by cheering them as they play, which shows a sign of unity and togetherness.

The Ghetto inter-fans football tournament has continued to grow from one level to another, and one thing that has set the tournament above others as the best grassroots five-aside football tournament in the whole of Nasarawa Gwong axis and environs is the use of professional football referees from start to finish, and the involvement of football technical experts in the organizational process throughout the duration, with Jimmy Pam Jerry in charge of technical.

The chairman, Plateau State Football Association (PFA), Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande spiced up the event by announcing the donation of ten footballs to GSS Nasarawa Gwong for allowing the ghetto inter-fans football tournament to be played on their pitch.
Hon. Dr. Kwande, is a former board member of the NFF and former house of representative member who has raised the bar and the standard of football on the Plateau. His presence, material and financial support for grassroots football is unprecedented and historical as far as Plateau State and Nigeria is concerned.

Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, presented a letter of commendation to Mr. Alex Gyang Davou for identifying with football through sponsorship and promised that the FA will partner with him to curb youth restiveness and further unite Plateau through football.

The Jos North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr. JK Chris encouraged the youths to be united, assuring the community of government support to better the lives of the Plateau people.

A home boy in the community, Engr. Tangkat Peter Yenle, CEO Tang-Yen Nig Ltd, donated the sum of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00k) only, to the winners.

While Pastor Ayuba Roba anchored the entire 2025 Ghetto inter-fans five-aside football tournament.

The finals ended:
Ghetto Real Madrid 0-2 Ghetto Arsenal.

- Winners got the sum of N50,000.
- Runner-up got N30,000.
- Third place winners got N20,000.
- Best Player of the tournament - Nanjwan Samuel of Ghetto Real Madrid.
- Highest Goal - Gambo Dadah of Ghetto Arsenal with six goals.
- Best Goalkeeper - Markus Zarma of Ghetto Arsenal 
- Best Coach - Joshua Oladele aka O² of Ghetto Arsenal.
- Fair play team - Ghetto Liverpool.
