GBONG GWOM JOS CONDOLES WITH QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT OVER THE TRANSITION OF LONG PAN

In a heartfelt gesture, the Gbong Gwom Jos and President of Plateau State Traditional Council of Chiefs and Emires, His Royal Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, paid condolences to Qua'an-Pan Local Government over the transition of Long Pan, President of Qua'an-Pan Traditional Council, HRH Nda Miskagam Emmanuel Dabang.

The Gbong Gwom Jos, who led a delegation of Chiefs and Emires across Plateau State, described the passing of Long Pan as a significant loss to the Pan Nation and Qua'an-Pan Local Government. He eulogized the late monarch as a revered royal father who was visionary and wise.

Da Jacob Buba emphasized the importance of unity among traditional rulers, stating that they are the custodians of the community's heritage. He charged the traditional rulers who are eligible to contest for the Long Pan seat to exhibit decorum and sportsmanship among themselves. "God is the one to choose, and whoever emerges as the Long Pan, others should concede graciously," he stated.

He extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Plateau State Traditional Council of Chiefs and Emires to Qua'an-Pan Local Government and the family of the late monarch, praying that the transition of Long Pan to his ancestors would bring peace and unity to the traditional institute of Qua'an-Pan Local Government and its people.

In response, on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Acting President of Qua'an-Pan Traditional Council, Dr. Safiyanu Allahnana extended  heartfelt gratitude to the Gbong Gwom Jos for condoling with Qua'an-Pan Local Government, noting that his visit showed true statesmanship. 

The Chairman of Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, thanked the Gbong Gwom Jos and his entourage for their thoughtful visit to Qua'an-Pan, noting it demonstrated respect and solidarity in this moment of bereavement. He assured the Gbong Gwom Jos his administration would ensure a seamless transition and selection of a new Long Pan, guided by fairness, justice, and the good of Qua'an-Pan.

Subsequently, the Emir of Azara, HRH Dr Ibrahim Musa also paid condolences and described the late monarch as a man of peace and wisdom, whose legacy would be fondly remembered.
