PLATEAU FOOTBALL REFEREES COUNCIL COMMISERATES WITH THE FAMILY OF LATE S.S. GAMBO

Members of the Plateau Football Referees Council (PFRC), led by Chairman Joshua Baba Gotom, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Sunday S. Gambo, former Council Chairman who passed away on April 10, 2025.

Comrade Jibrin Kamga Bancir, National Financial Secretary of the Nigeria Football Referees Association (NFRA), described the deceased as a patriotic and kind-hearted individual dedicated to serving God and humanity. He highlighted Gambo's selfless life, marked by dedication and resilience, which positively impacted those in refereeing.

"His kindness, doggedness, and discipline will continue to shine brightly in his absence," Comrade Bancir said, urging the family to find solace in his enduring legacy.

On behalf of NFRA President Alhaji Sani Zubairu and the referees' community, Comrade Bancir extended condolences to the family, praying for strength to bear the loss.

Former Plateau Football Referees Council Secretary and close friend, Mr. Joseph Bwondi, also spoke, encouraging Gambo's wife and children to take comfort in the fact that he lived a fulfilling life, leaving a lasting impact.

Responding for the family, Mr. Solomon Gambo, a son of the deceased, appreciated the referee community for their support during his father's illness and passing.

The burial will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the family residence in Jos, Plateau State, along Rukuba Road.
