PLATEAU FOOTBALL REFEREES' BID FAREWELL TO LATE SIR S.S GAMBO rtd

It was an emotional moment at the Rukuba road residence of one time council chairman of Plateau Football Referees' Council, late Pastor Sunday Selbong Gambo, where his remains were committed to earth.

The late S.S Gambo was a retired football Referee, former chairman of Plateau Football Referees' Council and former NPFL Assesor.
At the funeral service today, sympathisers recalled the times and life of pastor S.S Gambo full of dedication, commitment and service to God and humanity. As he will be remembered as a strict disciplinarian and a principled father to all.

Speaking at the funeral service, the president of Nigeria Football Referees' Association (NFRA), Alhaji Sani Zubairu represented by Comrade Jibrin Kamga Bancir, the national financial secretary of NFRA, condoled with the immediate family encouraging them to be strong in this trying moment and accept the will of God.

Referees coordinator of North Central zone, Felicia Okwugba was in attendance together with other Plateau referees' elders, Pastor Edwin Ozonsi, sir Joseph Bwondi, sir Mafalal, sir Dihis Jatau, Nde Dewan, Pastor Dung Jare, Austin Eyeroli and others.

The chairman of Plateau Football Referees' Council, Comrade Joshua Baba Gotom was represented by his deputy and vice, Victoria Cuktu and Tony Ejim.

The late Sunday Selbong Gambo will be missed by friends and associates, colleagues, members of the Nigerian Football Referees' Association, The Boys Scout and his immediate family members.
Leaving behind his wife Mrs Laraba Sunday, six children, one daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.

The Chairman of Plateau Football Association (PFA), Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande yesterday led a group of Plateau State foreign based players to pay homage to His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
