GOVERNOR MUTFWANG ATTENDS 50TH PRIESTLY ANNIVERSARY AND 75TH BIRTHDAY OF VERY REV. FR. JOSEPH NYAM, EXTOLS HIS SERVICE TO GOD AND HUMANITY

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has extolled Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Nyam for his service to God and humanity, particularly for moulding young ones to offer themselves in service to God.

stated this at the Mass to commemorate the 50th Priestly Ordination Anniversary and 75th birthday of the revered priest on Wednesday at the Fatima Cathedral in Jos. Fr. Nyam was ordained a Catholic priest on December 22, 1974, at the Fatima Cathedral, Jos.

Represented by his Deputy, Hon. Mrs. Josephine Piyo, Governor Mutfwang said the dual celebration is a testament to a life of steadfastness and devotion that reflects God's faithfulness throughout his incredible journey of priesthood. 

The Governor added that the celebration provides the state a unique opportunity to honour his tireless labour in the Lord's Vineyard, where he has nurtured souls with love, wisdom, and humility.

"I am deeply inspired by your selfless service to God and humanity, a journey marked by passion, profound faith, and a commitment to spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

“Your exemplary leadership has guided numerous souls toward salvation and has left an indelible mark on society.

"As you commemorate this extraordinary milestone, be assured of my continued support and partnership in advancing the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Together, we can address societal challenges and build a more just and compassionate society,” he said.

Governor Mutfwang called on the people of Plateau State to continue praying for both political and religious leaders as they serve the people and humanity with grace and dedication.

Earlier, Very Rev. Fr. Nyam said his 50th Priestly Ordination and 75th birthday have been characterized by years of service to God and humanity as a result of His grace and mercy. 

He urged the body of Christ to shun worldly desires and seek the kingdom of God, further calling on the church to be prayerful at all times.
