BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND EXCO'S OF DU COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION CONDOLES FAMILY OF LATE DA PROF' STEPHEN SAMUEL GYANG

The officials of Du Community Development Association (DCDA) and DCDA Board of Trustees, onbehalf of Du Traditional Council, Elders, Sons and Daughters of Du land paid a condolence visit to the family of late Da Professor Stephen Samuel Gyang, who passed away last week at the age of 73.

During a visit to the bereaved family at Kabong, the DCDA president, Da Silas Bot Pwajok described the late Dara as a man of humility, integrity and selfless service to humanity.
He noted that within the short period they met, Dara was an embodiment of wisdom, knowledge and compassion, whose contribution to the progress and development of Du land will always be remembered.

Board of Trustee members who spoke during the visit are;
Assoc. Prof' Keziah Pam-Rwang,
Da Prof' Daniel Dabi and Barr. Gyang Zi SAN, with each of them highlighting the good legacies of late Da Prof' Stephen and how his wise counsel will be missed.

DCDA vice president, Barr. Pam Gyang also reflected on his interactions with the late Dara Professor recalled his wealth of experience as an elder full of wisdom and humility. He Prayed God for special comfort and strength to the family.

Responding on behalf of the deceased family, Da Barr. Peter Nyam Gai expressed profound gratitude to Du Traditional Council,  Elders and the good people of Du for the visit. Recalling how the late Professor touched lives and passed knowledge, as testified by many of his students. He noted that the visit by the B.O.T members and the entire  people of Du has brought immense comfort to the family.

The late Da. Professor Stephen Samuel Gyang before his demise was a pioneer Board of Trustee  member, Du Community Development Association.

Burial arrangement as announced by the family;
Wednesday, 30th April - Service of songs at his residence at Janda Du, 4:30p.m - 5:30p.m.

Final internment - Thursday, 1st May, 2025. Sympathisers are to assemble at the old JUTH mortuary at 7a.m.
Corpse leaves the mortuary at 7:30a.m to COCIN LCC Kabong for funeral service.
Final internment will be at his residence at Janda Du, Jos South LGC, Plateau State.
