GOVERNOR MUTFWANG EULOGISES NDE DAVID PARRADANG, DESCRIBES HIS DEATH AS MONUMENTAL LOSS TO PLATEAU
Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has described the death David Shikfu Parradang, former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), as a monumental loss to Plateau State and the nation in general.
Parradang passed away on March 4, 2025
The governor, represented by his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Josephine Piyo, spoke at the funeral service of the deceased at Pankshin LGA.
He further described the deceased as a symbol of hope, a distinguished patriot, and a selfless leader, whose steadfast commitment to national security left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s immigration system.
Reflecting on his illustrious career, the governor acknowledged Parradang’s over three decades of dedicated service, during which he played a pivotal role in fortifying Nigeria’s borders and enhancing immigration policies.
He added that the deceased was a model of discipline, integrity, and professionalism, a pillar of wisdom, an exemplary leader, and a role model with steadfast dedication to peace, security, and good governance which he extended beyond his profession and significantly shaping political development in Plateau State.
He prayed for divine comfort for the family, the Ngas Nation, the entire state, and the nation in general. He also prayed for eternal rest for his soul.
In a sermon at the St.Paul's Cathedral Church, Canon Ephraim Ngwan who took a text from Ecclesiastes Chapter 3:1-11, emphasized the inevitability of death and the need for believers to account for their lives on Judgment Day.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, The Comptroller General of Immigration, members of the National Assembly, and government functionaries were in attendance to pay their last respects.
