GOVERNOR MUTFWANG CONSOLES PARRADANG FAMILY, HONORS LEGACY OF LATE NIS BOSS
Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Parradang family following the passing of Late Nde David Shikfu Parradang, a distinguished statesman and former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Governor Mutfwang paid glowing tribute to the late Parradang, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to national security, governance, and public life will remain indelible.
He remarked that the deceased was a man of integrity, diligence, and patriotism, whose leadership profoundly impacted the nation.
A statement signed by Gyang Bere,
Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor, says the condolence visit to the Parradang family residence took place at the Apo Legislative Quarters in Abuja, where Governor Mutfwang personally commiserated with Mrs. Anna Parradang and other grieving family members.
Governor Mutfwang encouraged them to draw strength from their faith, assuring them that although the loss was painful, divine comfort would sustain them.
"The passing of Nde David Shikfu Parradang is a monumental loss, not only to his family but to the entire nation. His steadfast commitment to service, his principles, and his contributions to our national security architecture will never be forgotten. We stand with you during this difficult time and offer our full support," Governor Mutfwang stated.
The Governor also reflected on the late Parradang’s illustrious career beyond his tenure as Comptroller-General, particularly his courageous involvement in Plateau State’s political landscape, where he contested for the governorship.
Commending Parradang's selflessness, humility, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of society, Mutfwang added, "Nde Parradang’s leadership and vision were instrumental in shaping policies that safeguarded our borders and strengthened our national security. He was a beacon of integrity, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come."
In her response, Mrs. Anna Parradang expressed deep appreciation for the Governor’s visit and his words of comfort. She however voiced concern over misleading reports circulating on social media regarding her husband's passing.
She appealed to the government to ensure a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
"While we are grateful for the Governor’s support, we also seek the truth. The misinformation being spread is deeply distressing, and we urge the authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into what led to my husband's untimely death," she stated.
