GOVERNOR CALEB MUTFWANG INAUGURATES COUNCIL ON HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has inaugurated the Plateau State Human Capital Development Council, tasked with the crucial mandate of enhancing the living standards of the citizens of the state.
Governor Mutfwang, represented by his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Josephine Piyo, emphasized that the council's primary responsibility is to advance the state's human capital development agenda, focusing on the essential pillars of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
He highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration and coordination among government agencies, private sector organizations, and civil society groups to effectively achieve the objectives of human capital development.
He urged the members of the council to approach their duties with a heightened sense of urgency, passion, and commitment, he called upon stakeholders, government agencies, and private sector organizations to support and cooperate with the council in realizing its goals.
The Deputy Governor is the Chairman of the council, while the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning is its Secretary.
Other members of the council include the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Education, Labour and Productivity, Youth and Sports, Women Affairs, and Health, along with their Directors to act as the Technical Working Group.
Speaking on behalf of members of the council, Mr. Arnan Mantu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, expressed that their appointment represents a call for diligence and a commitment to action, particularly as it aligns with the vision of the administration led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
