POLITICAL PARTY FLAG BEARERS PARLEY WITH DCDA, ELDERS AND DU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL
The Exco's of Du Community Development Association (DCDA) in conjunction with Du Traditional Council and Elders, had a parley with Councilorship and chairmanship flag bearers from Du across political party in the forthcoming Plateau State Local Government Elections.
The essence of the parley as stated by the president of Du Community Development Association, Da Silas Bot Pwajok is to further unite the people beyond politics reminding all flag bearers and their supporters to see themselves as brothers in the game of politics encouraging all parties to do their campaigns without calomny.
Below are the party's chairmanship flag bearers all from Du:
1. Hon. Silas Patrick Dung - People's Democratic Party (PDP).
2. Hon. Pam Henry - People Redemption Party (PRP).
3. Hon. Eric S. Davou - Labour Party (LP).
4. Hon. Yakubu Bot Rwang - All Progressive Congress (APC).
5. Hon. Chollom Deme - New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).
The parley which started at 8:30a.m had in attendance members of the traditional council and other stakeholders.
The PDP Chairmanship flag bearer, Rwas Honourable Silas Patrick Dung who came first and seated before 8:30a.m was given the floor highlighting his five points agenda with the slogan "Sei vwel" in: Education, security, health, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment also carrying the aged along. He promised to prioritize healthcare services by providing affordable drugs to the people, ensuring infrastructural development in the educational sector also making sure lives and properties of people are protected.
Hon. Silas Patrick Dung spoke passionately about the land and promised to run an all inclusive government adding value by using the instruments of government to develop the entire Jos South LGC using his five points agenda as a guide to follow vigorously if he emerged chairman of Jos South LGC.
The PRP chairmanship flag bearer, Rwas Honourable Pam Henry Chuwang, was emphatic on the introduction of mobile health clinics, community based laws that will curb the consumption of illicit substance, improve sanitation and the implementation of community base sanitation if elected as chairman of Jos south LGC with the intention of going into a contract with the community to achieve some plans of the development association such as getting a computer lab for jamb CBT center and the building of a befitting hall.
Hon. Pam Henry Chuwang submitted a hardcopy of his plans for the Local Government.
The LP Chairmanship flag bearer, Rwas Honourable Eric Stephen Davou started by mentioning some projects he influenced in his immediate community together with a yet to be commissioned borehole just at the corridor of Gwom Topp residence; a way of giving back to the community, meaning charity begins at home.
Hon. Eric Stephen Davou if elected as chairman of Jos south LGC promised to run a people's oriented government giving back powers to the people by decentralizing powers to the various districts ensuring parleys like this is sustained. He promised to provide scholarship, create twenty thousand direct and indirect employments prioritizing other sectors like education, security, human capital development of both the youths and women, motorable road networks and agriculture. At the end of his presentation he submitted a hardcopy of his plans.
The APC flag bearer sends his apology for not able to attend in person due to pressing political engagements which took him out of the state but was ably represented by Hon. Christopher Chuwang Taddy.
The APC representative summed up their plans into 4 E's:
Education, employment, effective management of resources, empowerment of youths and women.
The NNPP flag bearer, Rwas Honourable Chollom Deme appreciated the traditional council and DCDA for initiating such a parley showing a deliberate effort to unite the people. He promised to develop the local government and carry everyone along in his government if elected chairman of Jos south LGC.
