A NEW NPFL SEASON UNFOLD FOR PLATEAU UNITED TO STRIVE BETTER WITH CALEB MUTFWANG AS NUMBER ONE SUPPORTER

The league Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman, chief Gbenga Elegbeleye with his team have Introduced measures to stabilize the NPFL and restore confidence in Nigerian football by ensuring financial transparency, accountability, developing a new framework for club licencing and compliance. No wonder, for the first time in history the 2024/2025 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season kicked-off on a fixed date without a shift, August 31st.

Currently, Plateau United football club is the only team on the Plateau playing in the elite division of the League known as the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
The team has a rich history in the Nigerian Domestic league since 1975 winning several honors and participating in the CAF champions league.

Plateau people are optimistic about the team's chances in winning the league title and playing in the continent next season as matches in the NPFL will continue this weekend of September 8th. Plateau United will be hosting Katsina United at the New Jos Zaria road stadium, with the cheering support of the team's number 1 supporter, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.

The executive governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang has provided an enabling environment for sporting activities on the Plateau to strive for greatness with his doors open. Recalled, Plateau State hosted the final day match of the 2023/2024 NPFL season moving the entire football family across the country to Jos and other tourists, seeing Rangers Int'l lifting the trophy in the presence of football Crème de la crème, further demonstrating Plateau State as the home of peace and tourism.
Recently, Plateau State hosted the Gusau/Ahlan preseason tournament with many top flight professional football clubs and grassroot teams participating with the coordination of Plateau State football association under Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande having the  support of the Plateau State governor.

On the other hand, the  General Manager of Plateau United, Mr Habila Hosea Mutla has proven to be a seriuos football administrator right from last season being his first time in office with Plateau United missing a Continental ticket narrowly.
Mr. Hosea Mutla has further demonstrated high level of professionalism and seriousness by engaging critical football stakeholders in the state all in a bid to ensure Plateau united get it right this season by closing gaps, strengthening relationships ensuring a cordial working partnership with the state F.A.

In addition to the experienced players in the team, Plateau United FC have signed eight new experience players from different professional football clubs and also absorbed five youth team players from it's feeder team to the main team following their outstanding performances for the club’s youth team at the NPFL Youth League In 2023 which serves as reward for their Consistent Work for self and team.

Blending these young lads with the experienced players is a task coach Mbwas Mangut must achieve as a good and reliable technical adviser of Plateau united who has been doing well in the team.

With the enabling sporting environment created by His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Bar. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang, all hands must be on deck to get it right as Plateau United begin their continental campaign in the 2024/2025 NPFL season with high expectations the Zaria road stadium will be completed by the  amiable hardworking governor of Plateau State, Bar. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
