2024 NZEM BEROM JOS NORTH SET TO BE THE BEST AHEAD OF RIYOM, GWOL, JOS SOUTH

The Berom nation in Jos North met at the Palace of Gwom Kabong in preparation for the 2024 Nzem Berom Festival, Jos north.

Going by the  commitment, quick response and mobilisation efforts of illustrious Berom sons and daughters of Jos North LGC, it is clear that Jos North Local Government is set to organize the best Nzem Berom festival on 2nd May, 2024 ahead of other Local Governments like Riyom, Jos South and Gwol (Barkin Ladi).

Chairman of the Jos North Nzem Berom Central Planning Committee and Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Da Bar. Peter Nyam Gai who chaired the meeting which commenced at 8a.m at the Gwom Kabong Palace in Jos, took time to highlight the program of events as drafted by the 2024 Nzem Berom main planning committee but concentrated mainly on the day/date given to Jos North Local Government  to have her festival which is 2nd May, 2024.

Da Bar. Peter Nyam Gai stressed the need for all Berom sons and daughters in Jos north to mobilize, unite and contribute to the progress of the festival in Jos north.

At the meeting, three venues were suggested as follows;
i. Polo Field Jos
ii. Gss Kabong
iii. SDA school field Laranto.
Polo Field had the highest number of preference.
Venue Committee were assigned the responsibility of making enquiry and contacts on how to secure the venue with Polo Field as a first priority while other alternative venues  in-view. 
The committee were given a timeline of two days and feedback the main committee.

The Nzem Berom Jos North will take place on 2nd May, 2024 with the following villages showcasing their dance groups and cultural exhibitions;
Chwelnyap, 
Gura Lo-Gai Zeng, 
Janda, 
Jishe, 
Landyere, 
Kabong, 
Laranto, 
Gura Lo-majei 
and others areas including other tribe's in Jos.

Alhaji Isa Pam used the opportunity to invite all Berom sons and daughters to a Sallah banquet organized by the Berom Muslims in Jos North LGC on Saturday 13th April, 2024 at the Jos North BECO secretariat, old GbongGwom Jos Palace around Old Bukuru park in Jos north at 12noon.

Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande yesterday led a group of Plateau State foreign based players to pay homage to His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
