GOVERNOR MUTFWANG KICKS OFF PLATEAU STATE FA CUP FINALS BETWEEN PLATEAU UNITED AND MIGHTY JETS
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on Saturday, took a significant step towards promoting football activities and nurturing local talents in Plateau State by kicking off the finals of the Plateau State FA Cup (Challenge Cup) between Plateau United FC and Mighty Jets FC.
The match kicked off at 4:00 PM at the new Zaria Road stadium in Jos, attracting supporters from all 17 local government areas. Players from both teams showcased their skills, making it an engaging spectacle.
The first half ended in a draw after both teams displayed commendable performances, with Plateau United exhibiting dominance on the field.
In an intense second half, Plateau United was awarded a penalty minutes before the end of regulation time, while Mighty Jets FC also capitalized on a penalty, resulting in a 1-1 score.
The match was ultimately decided in the penalty shootout, with Plateau United emerging victorious over Mighty Jets.
